GENERAL INFORMATION-Shenzhen is a major city in the south of Southern China's Guangdong Province, situated immediately north of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Neighboring the Pearl River Delta and Hong Kong, Shenzhen's location gives it a geographical advantage for economic development. More than thirty years ago, Shenzhen just was a small fishing village called Baoan County. In 1979, it was renamed Shenzhen City. In 1980, the first Special Economic Zone of China was built in this city. From then on, the city become a highlight of China, one known for its rapid economic growth. The city does not have as many historical attractions as other famous cities in China, it has created a number of excellent theme parks. It is approximately 100 kilometer south of Guangzhou.

001-WINDOW OF THE WORLD-Window of The World is a theme park in the western side of the city, it is adjacent to the Splendid China and China Folk Cultural Villages and is in the theme park area of Shenzhen. It has a reproductions of 130 most famous places of the world in tourism in 1:1, 1:5, 1:15 ratio. Shenzhen Window of The World integrates world wonders, historical relics, natural scenes and folk performances. Window of The World which contains numerous sight spots, is divided into nine areas: World Square, the Area of Asia, the Area of Oceanic, the Area of Europe, the Area of Africa, the Area of America, the Area of Modern Science and Technology Entertainment, the World Sculpture Park and International Street. Its area is 48hectares (118acres). There is a model of 108m high Eiffel Tower and Pyramids, Taj Mahal, Niagara Falls, Angkor Wat, Arc De Triompe, Notre Dam , fountain of Jardin du. The World Square, being the activity center of the park, is capable of accommodating over 10,000 travelers and has 10 of the world’s best-known sculptures in the front part of the square. And all around the square, there are 108 different styles stone pillars and a near 2,000-m² relief sculpture wall all around the square, as well as a magnificent stage. Every day there is a fireworks and laser show at 9 pm. When night comes, you can enjoy wonderful night shows combined by folk songs and dances and programs. Skiing and snow tubing are available at the Alps Indoor Skiing. In evening one can see at Caesar's Palace a show of Feverous Paris Nights.
002-SPLENDID CHINA-Splendid China Miniature Park Theme Park and China Folk Culture Village together make up Splendid China Folk Village. They can both be visited with one ticket. In Miniature China, there are models of many places and buildings that China is famous for. So in a way, it is like touring China in a few hours. Perhaps visiting the two theme parks can be used as a quick way to learn about China and the ethnic cultures. The park measures about 30 hectares (74 acres). The models in Splendid China are in a scale of 1:15 more or less. Here about 100 tourist attraction has been displayed in miniature at the scale of 1:15. Here one can see Great Wall of China, Terracotta Warriors. Temple of Heavens, Forbidden City etc. in one day, there are buses to transport around the park. The area is big, and in order to experience it all there is a miniature train available. An evening generally ends with entertainment shows involving a lot of performers. Some shows depict events in Chinese history such as the attack of Genghis Khan. Other performances are about Chinese culture.
003-CHINA FOLK CULTURE VILLAGE-It is a theme park and near to window of the world. The entry is same but you have option to see any one. China is a big and united family made up of 56 ethnic groups. Geographically speaking, they are distributed in different parts of China, in the village, you will see the distinctive architecture of ethnic groups. The folk villages depicting different ethnic groups from all over China. Each village comprises three parts: a museum, an entertainment center, and living quarters for the staff. All are beautifully crafted and landscaped to represent the true characteristics of each group. The more than 2,00,000 square meters (about 494 acres) has 24 peculiar cottages which are constructed at a ratio of 1:1. In the China Folk Culture Village, additional attractions are folk dances, local snacks and handicrafts. You will be able to choose many souvenirs from the variety of diverse designs. In addition to each village having its own little show, there are three major shows every day. One is a horse show battle show that reenactments and attack of Genghis Khan and is played out by skillful riders. There is also a fashion show where one can see many beautiful costumes and fantastic head pieces in an amazing parade. In the production called “The Dragon and Phoenix,” the entire troupe of entertainers combine their efforts to produce an outstanding and dazzling spectacle in the most amazing.
004-HAPPY VALLEY-It is the largest theme park. Its area is 86acres. It is another modern theme park in China after Splendid China, Chinese Folk Culture Villages and Windows of the World which combines participation, sightseeing, entertaining and interests. The activities in Happy Valley cover the fields of sea, land and air. Besides, the activities here are different in the day time and in the night. Upon entering the gate, one may step into the Spanish Square which has a Mediterranean flavor reminiscent of a Spanish Warf. There are nine theme sections in Happy Valley. They are Spanish Plaza, Cartoon City, Adventure Mountain, Happy Time, Gold Mine Town, Shangri-la Forest, Hurricane Bay, Sunshine Coast, Maya Water Park and Happy Train, a high-altitude single track train. There are over 100 colorful entertaining items here for young and old. For example, there is the first "Discoverer" in China which swings at a great height. There is "UFO", a riding item for the family which is up to the minute in the world and number one in Asia. There is "Shooting the rapids", which has the largest fall in the world. There is "Xueshan Feilong", the first suspended roller coaster in China. There is Space Shuttle, the first "screaming tower" in China and the highest one in Asia. There is the first Four-dimension Cinema in Asia, which combines seeing, hearing and feeling together. There is Maya Water Park.
005-FAIRY LAKE BOTANICAL GARDEN (XIANHU PARK) - It covers an area of 588 ha/1453 acres (2.27 sq. mi). This is a multifunctional botanical garden integrating scientific research, plant species collection and display as well as tourism. There are over 7,800 species of plants in Fairy Lake Botanical Garden. Due to the abundant species and advantageous climate, the garden is divided into 17 Special Gardens. They are Butterfly Orchid Garden, Rare Plant Garden, Palm Plant Garden, Bamboo Garden, Peach Garden, Shade Plant Garden, Desert Landscape Garden, Aquatic Plant Garden, Miniascape Garden etc. The whole garden includes six main landscape areas including Paradise on Earth Area, Lake Area, Temple Area, Desert Landscape Area, Fossil Forest Area and Pine and Azalea Area. Buddhism Developing Temple (Hongfa Temple) is located in the center of the botanical garden.
006- SAFARI PARK-Located near Xili Lake, it is the first safari park of China. There are 10,000 animals of more than 300species. Pandas, giraffes, Asian elephants, red-crowned cranes, Siberian tigers and flamingos all could be found in this park. The zoo, occupying an area of 120 hectares (296.5 acres), has three parts according to the living habits of different animals. Visitors can take buses to watch the uncaged animals strolling on the lawn. In the adventurous beasts' zone, white tigers (Bengal tigers), North China tigers (Siberian tigers), South China tigers, bears, wolves, lions and cheetahs, all have their own homes. Giraffes, flamingos, zebras, kangaroos, camels, hippopotamuses, swans, pandas and other vegetarians inhabit the vegetarian zone. This area has the largest swan lake in China. Every day, the zoo holds about ten animal performances in the four animal performance halls, namely, the Circus Hall, the Elephants and Tigers Show Hall, the Sea lion Performance Hall and the Birds Performance Hall. The grand party for hundreds of birds cannot be seen in other parts of the world. Another exciting performance played by more than 300 actors and about 1,000 animals. In addition, the Ocean World in the park is definitely worth a visit.
007-MINSK WORLD-Situated on the shore of Sha Tau Kok, Shenzhen. Minsk was built in 1972 and was first listed as part of the Soviet Union Navy Pacific Fleet in 1978. This floating ship was purchased from the Soviets by Korea in 1993, just after the cold war ended, and was then purchased by a businessman in 1998 to create an ‘aircraft carrier theme park. Minsk aircraft carrier from Soviet Union. Minsk World is made up of two parts: the Aircraft Carrier (at sea) and the Square (on land). These sections are connected by a military bridge that is 10 meters (10.9 yards) wide and 90 meters (98.5 yards) long. The Soviet MIG-23 aircraft-fighter and Mi-24 military helicopters are on display on the first deck, while on the second deck, the crew's living area has been rebuilt. The Square encompasses 19.8 acres and is divided into three sections: the Back Square, the Front Square and the Aircraft Carrier Center. Near this park are Xiaomeisha Sea World, Dameisha Beach Park and Xiaomeisha Resort.
008- XIAOMEISHA SEA WORLD-It was opened in 1998, it is referred as Hawai of the east. It is built in 49 acres and situated 28kms from city. This Sea World is China's leading marine-based theme park. It features nine aquariums and museums, two gardens and an island. The park's six aquariums exhibit fish, polar bears, polar foxes, sharks, whales and crustaceans. The Science and Technology Museum, the Dream Ocean World and the Museum of Model Airplanes attract many visitors as well. Other visit-worthy attractions include the Ocean Garden, Turtle Island and the Poseidon Garden. The Shark Aquarium has more than 30 sharks, including bull sharks (Carcharhinus leucas), lemon sharks (Feral Negaprion Brevirostris), black tip reef sharks, white tip reef sharks, zebra sharks and nurse sharks. The highlight of the Ocean World is an indoor rail-based exhibition hall, which is the biggest in China. The tunnel through the exhibit takes visitors on a trip through time, where they witness scenes of Robinson Crusoe's expedition, Aesop's Fables, the Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish, etc. This 15-minute trip gives travelers a chance to experience the history and the future of the ocean. It offers a total of 16 special performances, such as the Enthusiastic Underwater Ballet, the Magical Mermaids, the Wedding under the Ocean, the Undersea Figure Dance and Deep Sea Diving.
009-OCT EAST-Overseas Chinese Town East (OCT East) is located in Dameisha, Shenzhen. Covering an area of 9 square kilometers, OCT East consists of two theme parks, the Ecoventure Valley and the Tea Stream Resort Valley.
i-Ecoventure Valley-The Ecoventure Valley includes five main theme areas: the Breakers Lagoon, the Seafield Village, the Rapids Forest, Adventure Canyon and the Peak Highland. Entering the resort from the Ecoventure Valley, one can immediately enjoy the splendid Giant Waterfall which is the largest seashore waterfall in China. The Seafield Village consists of Sky Strip, Seafield Theater, Wine Experience House, Self-brewery House, Lakeside Food Court, town inns. The Aqua Show is presented in this valley. It depicts the symbiotic relationship between nature and human beings. Enjoy the water-based music and dance show every night. Having finished the sightseeing, you can take the ropeway up the mountain and reach the next destination—the Peak Highland. It is the highest point in the park and the best place to get a bird's-eye-view of the whole area. From here you can take the sightseeing train to the Tea Stream Resort Valley.

Here you can enjoy the western style buildings and streets, which make you feel like a traveler in the European country. The Interlaken Parade to draw you into this happy environment. The Sanzhou Tea Garden is based on a Lingnan tea garden. In this area, the Bamboo Valley, the bridges and pavilions take you into a typical southern China tea garden, and the beautiful Teana show brings the tea garden. It depicts the enchanting scenery of the original ecological landscape, and the singing and tea hillsides bring a green and traditional world. Having experienced the natural environment and life of the Chinese tea garden, you can go to the OCT Theater and enjoy the T-Show, about the culture of Zen and tea. 010-SHOPPING-Shenzhen is divided into several zones of shopping centers. In barging only one third price is sufficient .The shops opens at 11AM.Here shopping can be done in HKD and get the change in HKD.
i-Dongmen Shopping Street (PedestrainArea)-The area is between Luohu and Lychee Park and the street is a short walk from Laojie Station on Line1. It is more like a ‘shopping suburb’ spanning several blocks including countless brand name shops, several multi-level malls, several multi-level markets, food streets, public spaces. There’s also a multi-level mall, or department store if you like, that’s dedicated to just shoes, one just for comic books and there’s the multi-level Hongkai Craft City amongst others. As for food, there’s plenty of choices including KFC, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Saizeriya (pizza+pasta similar to Pizza Hut), Starbucks and there’s plenty of traditional food stalls, local restaurants and even dim sum at the Magic Dim Sum Restaurant. There’s also the Modern Toilet Restaurant, if you like sitting on the can, while eating dinner. It’s got several English aliases including Dongmen Pedestrian Street, Dongmen Walking Street, Laojie (which means ‘old town’), Dongmen Market and East Gate which is actually what the word Dongmen means.
ii-Luohu Commercial City (LCC)-Is a shopping Centre and adjoins the Shenzhen Railway Station and Luohu Station of Shenzhen Subway line 1. As you exit customs you'll walk out into a huge outdoor courtyard. If you go ahead then off to your right you'll find the entrance to the shopping center. Here famous brand watches, clothes, shoes, electronics, handbags etc. Luohu Commercial City is a five-story shopping center. The mall is in a sleek blue glass building at the exit of the Chinese border crossing. This shopping mall is very popular with tourists from Hong Kong as it is near the border. Since everything is in Chinese on the card, except for the shop number, make sure to write down what it was you liked there so you can find it again. If you can't find it, try to find your way to the bubble lift on each floor in the center of the mall. This is where the floor plans are displayed.
iii-Hua Qian Bei-The Hua Qiang Bei area is famous for the Saige (SEG) Tower and consumer electronic shopping. If you are in desperate need of a new laptop or want to buy parts to make your own super-computer than this is the place for you. There are eight electronic goods markets in this area, and the most famous is the SEG computer market with 72 floors. Apart from the high-tech gadgetry there are also quite a few women’s clothing stores here, including a whole mall - “Women’s World”. This famous mall targets “Mid-range” customers and makes the area an ideal destination for couples.Ideal for purchasing clothing and Women's World.
iv-K K Mall-This is the largest high-end mall and is near to Citic Plazza and Mix City and opposite to Coco Park. There is also a supermarket called 'BLT' on the bottom floor. Furthermore there are some good restaurants and the first IMAX cinema of Shenzhen.
v-Dreams-On Department Store-It is across the road of Coco Park.
vi-Citic City Plaza-Here one can find all the high end luxury international brands.
vii-Mix C-It is situated in Luohu district at subway station Da Ju Yuan. It has ice skating ring and food court and cinema theatre named golden Harvest cinema.

011-DAFEN OIL PAINTING VILLAGE-It is located in Buji Sub district and largest in the world for producing of oil paintings-a virtual art factory. There are about 5000 painters in the village. In the early 1990s a group of about twenty artists under the leadership of the painter and businessman Huang Jiang took up residence in this town. Impressionism and realism oil paintings, original abstract oil painting, commissioned oil portraits from photos, are all a specialty of them. Export of oil painting reproduction takes about 90% of business. They specialized in the making of large numbers of replicas of oil paintings by masters such as Van Gogh, Dalí, da Vinci, Rembrandt or Warhol.
012-HIGH RISE BUILDINGS-
I-KK100 (Kingkey Fiance Center Plaza) - It is located in Shenzhen's Luohu District east of Lizhi Park. The area is often described as the 'financial district' of Shenzhen. It is 1449ft(442m) high and has 100 floors. Out of 100 floors, 68 are used as office space,22 floors are used as hotel space and the top four floors of the skyscraper hold a garden and several restaurants. The St. Regis Hotel occupies floors 75 to 98 of the main tower, which opened in September 2011. There is a water fountain in front of the building, and an observation deck near the top.

ii-Shung Hing Square-It is a 1260 ft.(384m) high building and the second tallest in Shenzhen. The main tower has offices, while an accompanying 35-floor annex contains apartments, car park and shopping arcade complex which has 5 floors.
iii-SEG Plaza-It is a 1168 ft. high building. It has an observation floor at the 69th level which offers views over Shenzhen and northern Hong Kong. It is the home of, and named after the Shenzhen Electronics Group. It has 71 floors above the ground and four are under ground for parking.
iv-East Pacific Center- The complex consists of four buildings.
